Remember when I said I had to rewrite this chapter? Guess what I didn’t think of until I was partway through drawing it. Seth is me here. I am Seth. Frick.

DRINK NOW. It's not too late!

With any luck, she'll still be drunk when they land, and that's good enough!

Pfft. Like anyone in America ever truly pays attention to the age limits. At least as far as I've ever seen.

Hell, it's even lower in England and no one follows that either. XD

Time to round up some fake IDs or make 20-something aged friends friends in high places!

Considering Jon is often mistaken for being even younger than 18, that may not work out for him... XD

Ah, Vegas is more like Disneyland than Monte Carlo these days... there's plenty of stuff for children non-drinkers to do since it lost its glamorous sheen of yesteryear...

Indeed, the more I looked up stuff to do in Vegas, the more I came to realise how family-friendly it actually is, contrary to its usual portrayal.

So close Seth, so close. An R and I instead of an U.

COuld always check out the mob museum or any of the shows they have.

Haha, it would take even more than this blunder to get him to drop a genuine F-bomb!

And yes! There's plenty for them to do, they just need to be more imaginative!

I thought the age limit was 18 or 19 for most things (voting, army, smoking, buying certain guns), drinking being an exception at 21. Casinos which sell alcohol may be 21, though.

Okay, apparently the casino age is 21 in Nevada. In a handful of states it's 18. But in legal sense they are over the age of majority.

You may well be right there, Jon's just thinking about the "important" things.

I've always thought it was weird though that you can vote, "do the do," and join the army, before you can drink.

Imagine any of these three with a gun oh god no

Edit: Ah, yes, so they technically aren't "underage" they just can't drink or gamble. I'm Jon's oversimplifying.

Ahahahahahaha! That's brilliant. It almost seems like a good thing that got forgotten, that is gold.

XD I guess there's a silver lining!

(I still feel a bit stupid for not thinking of this!)

No problem! They're all 18+ so it should be no issue to go visit the whorehouses like they originally planned, right?
Slightly more serious, there's amazing numbers of shows in town all the time. There are surprisingly many desert cross-country and other vehicle races not too far away too.

Oh yeah, plenty of fun stuff in Vegas awaits the non-drinking holidaymaker, that just hadn't been on Seth's agenda...

Also, were you inspired by the name of the UK alcohol awareness charity (Drinkaware) when naming this strip?
Mel C. edit delete reply
Mel C.
Yep! Different kind of awareness in this context though... XD

oh NOOOOOOOO
maybe they can make a quick trip up to Canada, where the drinking/gambling age is 19! ;D

Actually, Canada is even bigger than America, so it might be too easy for them to get lost lol
