By the way, while fortnightly updates are going well for me, if you want something else to read on the weeks I'm not updating, my sister also happens to run a webcomic that updates fortnightly, and on weeks I don't update, she does! We didn't even plan it. So, if you want to read an action fantasy comic about witches and demons in modern day England, go check out JC Webcomics' The Strangest Coven!

A yes, the many levels of sympathy. It shows just how everyone in one's life truly views them.

In other words, the closer the relationship the less it feels sympathetic. XD

I think that it's more that the closer you are, the more likely it is that you gave advice / instructions beforehand to prevent said outcome and / or know that that person is probably going to do the "wrong" thing.

Indeed, in my experience best friends tend to look like worst enemies to an outsider! (Or a bickering married couple)

This reminds me of something that I was told when my brother was working in Indonesia:

When we, my parents and I, visited him, we were introduced to a German colleague of his. He said that the Germans called Brits abroad "lobsters" because they don't take precautions in the sun and end up red the next day.

Well I can't say that's entirely wrong! I'm not sure what it is about us Brits, we just assume we're immune to the sun or something!

Well, the theory of that person was that it was a matter of being so caught up in the fact that the sun was there that they forget that there's a reason that people take safety precautions.

This is my job, metaphorically. *headdesk* They call me after they're already flaking skin and offer me the chance to try and fix their unfixable problem in exchange for less than a tenth of what it would cost to do a shitty, half-ass attempt.

Aww, thanks for the plug :)

Man, I feel for Seth - last summer I went out to wash my car and didn't think to cover up or apply suncream. For the next few days - all of the pain! And the worst thing about sunburn - there's nobody to blame but yourself!

Love the signs in the burrito place. I could go for some 'Fizz Soda'

Well, yourself and the sun I suppose XD

Whoa what, you guys are sisters?? XD That's magical <3

Also Koalas in space is the cutest shirt XD (Jon, don't be mean, some people peel much later for some reason that that *could* be your hairline)

Ha yeah, we realised we never officially announced it or anything so... this counts?

And yeah, Jon needs to take it down a notch, doesn't he? XD

First of all, having two older brothers, yes, family sympathy is completely accurate. And sunburns always bring out the best in them towards me. Second, I love that Jon has a tan line in the last panel.

Oh yes, I've had a few "lobster girl" jokes from my sisters over the years XD

And yeah, Jon caught the sun a bit too, but he's one of those lucky jerks who just tans!

I feel so bad for Seth. I'm him. I go outside for 20 minutes and I burn. Then I peel and I'm just as white as I was before. Darn my north European roots!

Ha, I'm exactly that too--I maaaay have based that aspect of his character on myself...

The sad thing is, I love the signs you put in your stores and wish places like that were real, but I kind of feel like any real organization would get sued for being so smarmy and transparent :P

Yeah, they'd never get away with using that kind of language either XD but a girl can dream!
