Love it! For some reason, you never see this in stuff. It can be just as entertaining to subvert expectation XD

Haha yeah, getting someone to admit they like someone in fiction can be like getting blood from a stone, but I figured that's not really Karen's style.

I love the little chalkboard argument, even if I had to take a few minutes to work everything out around the text bubbles.

"Don't bother getting decaf, why are you even here?"
"Don't hate! Get decaf if you want."
[cutesy drawing]
"Take the chalk away from Karen."
(For those having trouble making it out.)

Also I quite like Karen and Chris. I want to see more of them. Jon, get back to work!

I'm surprised (and glad) you were able to read it after I foolishly covered it up with speech bubbles! Glad you liked it, and sorry it was hard to read.

And I like them too, I'm hoping they'll show up more soon!

Almost two quid for tea?!

Also, I work in a grocery store with a deli. This has been my life for the last two years with all the teenagers who work with me. :sigh:

Ha, I can sympathise (though I feel like I should also apologise because I was definitely that teenager!)

There's a lot to be said for anti-humour if you're a fan of it like I am, and this is actually a fair version of it. On top of that it's a subtle dig of absurdist humour--laughing at our expectations--since in this case having no joke at all actually is more unexpected (and then funnier) than repeating the incompetent denial gag for the zillionth time.

Thanks! Glad it came off that way, part of me was worried I was just duping people out of a punchline!
